The Post hears that Danny Meyer and Ian Schrager “are in advanced talks to create a new restaurant on the roof” of the Gramercy Park Hotel. So far, plans are top secret, and they hear only that it will be “completely different from Maialino and reasonably less expensive.” Personally, we wouldn’t mind a throwback to the times of Hammerstein’s Paradise Rooftop, though it’s doubtful a dinnertime cat-and-dog circus would be sanctioned by the Health Department these days.
