Today we got a flyer from M2 for Funkmaster Flex’s Friday-night party, so it looks like business as usual there despite a tribunal yesterday in which the city tried to strip the club of its food and beverage permit for repeatedly violating the smoking ban. However, the Daily News reports that the city still plans to take the hard line against M2, the worst offender of the five clubs taken to task (it’s said a bathroom attendant even sold loosies). However, the Health Department’s lawyer says he may work out a deal involving thousands of dollars in fines with the Imperial, and the Box and Southside have been given more time to prepare and will be back to plead their cases next month.
