Spiky-haired pastry chef Elizabeth Falkner will be moving her flagship operation, Citizen Cake, to the smaller, less Civic Center-adjacent location of the former Vivande Porta Via, which just closed after New Year’s. As tomorrow’s Scoop tells us, Falkner is shuttering Citizen Cake at Grove and Gough at the end of February, and reopening it at 2125 Fillmore a few weeks later with a revamped patisserie focus. Chances are, she plans to concentrate the savory, dinner side of things at Orson, while returning to her dessert-y roots uptown.
