It’s pretty clear by now that The Purple Pig, Jimmy Bannos and Scott Harris’s Michigan Avenue temple of swine-and-wine, has missed its late November opening date — Bannos promises us that they’ll be opening “either the week before or the week after Christmas.” And if the food isn’t enough for you (but oh, how much food there is), the restaurant will also be happy to suit you up: Purple Pig-themed products from water bottles to t-shirts — even the shirts the chefs wear (though presumably not the actual shirts) will be available for fans, tourists, pork lovers, or those Michigan Avenue shoppers desperately in need of a restaurant-themed bandanna.
