The city has published an updated edition of its tax deadbeat list and the legendary Neil Stein no longer occupies his place of dishonor as the city’s top tax-delinquent restaurateur. Chef Delilah Winder of Delilah’s in Reading Terminal Market, whose mac-and-cheese was given the Oprah Winfrey seal of approval back in 2003, has surpassed Stein and owes the city close to $1.6 million, although she told the Daily News that the figure is not accurate. Other food industry notables on the list: the owners of now-defunct KatManDu and an owner of Denim Lounge. Although he got bumped, Neil Stein is still in to the city for $1,263,774.45.
