French macarons: so hot right now. Everyone’s favorite posh cookie is of course completely edible year-round (a slice of fresh strawberry as filling in the summer — to die for, we swear), but there is something a little Holiday Special about them. And so NoMI is reopening their annual Boule de Noël, a dedicated holiday bakery that opens Monday. Pastry chef Frederic Moreau is also offering fancy-pants confectioneries like La Religieuse (caramel and hazelnut creams in pâte à choux) and L’Arabica (a coffee-spiked dacquoise), for those who aren’t in it for the macs. But really, who cares about anything but the macarons?
Le Boule de Noël opens Monday, December 7, and will stay open through December 24. 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
