The iPhone is embracing L.A.’s “greater East Side”, though we’re pretty sure it’s the one that makes East L.A. residents livid when it’s called that. Eating East is a new app from writer Kiran Puri providing maps, photos, details, and dish specific reviews of budget restaurants and “worth-it” expensive eateries from “Hollywood east to Downtown, and South L.A. north to Eagle Rock,” according to the writer. Uh-oh, hope Puri likes pitchforks as there’s no promise of what sits beyond those bridges. With 110 entries, this might not be the way for tourists trapped in WeHo Hell to hear about Ciro’s or USC stus to get introduced to Garvey Ave. Oh well iAddicts, you only have $1.99 to lose and a thorough knowledge of Silver Lake to gain. The Eating East app can be purchased here.
