The Health Department has released a statement acknowledging that the wording of a food-safety code revision set to go into effect on January 1 was a little bit misleading. Instead of banning the sale of all seafood, it’s really just raw-shellfish sales they were looking to outlaw. The takeaway: “The Health Department intends to fix this, and will not enforce this amendment as written.” Fried-flounder sandwiches all around!
