Kind of a CSA for pig-lovers, The Pork Prom goes down this Sunday, 9 a.m. to noon at the Blue Bottle roastery. Attendees will have the chance to purchase bone-in hams ($6/lb) or mixed boxes of heritage-breed pork ($30-$60 per box) from Shasta Valley Farm in Gazella, California. The event is connected with the Eat Real Fest folks, and even though the guaranteed shares are sold out, you can still add your name to the waiting list for hams and boxes here, and the reservation form says they will likely have enough meat for all.
