Big Star’s tacos: hip dad or poseur dad?

In the latest clumping together of the cheap-eats works of Paul Kahan and Bill Kim, Chuck Sudo at Chicagoist notes that Big Star and Belly Shack are each, in their own way, “cool dad” restaurants. Of course, one is the actual kind of cool dad — effortless, patina’d, a rocker back in the day, over it — and the other is the kind of cool dad that shows up in drug awareness commercials using outdated slang and trying way too hard to be hip.
