There’s a lot to get hyped up over if you’re a Sunday brunch lover and really, who isn’t? Rockwell will house the return of Rehab Sundays with event producer Tom Whitman beginning this weekend. The morning focuses on drinks and DJs as much as food, with a menu of champagne cocktails and ten bloody marys while house wax-shufflers attempt to lull you into a groove on the restaurant’s patio.
On Sunset, Eater informs us that XIV has invited a small circus to their new Sunday brunch which similarly goes heavy on the bubbly, adding a champagne cart to its sideshow of stilt-walkers, contortionists, and fire-breathers. A new menu will be served as well, featuring deep fried French toast that might have escaped Chicken Charlie’s clutches at the same time these performers were rejected by Kooza.
Sunday brunch is also making its way to Mexico Restaurante y Barra, with the kinds of plates we expect at a Mexican breakfast like huevos rancheros, machaca, and chilaquiles. The jalapeno biscuits in an eggs benedict and a list of morning margaritas made with Jimador tequila stand out as early eye-openers. All dishes are $12 and the brunch blends well into a new Sunday happy hour that combined could leave you needing another day of recovery. Mexico’s full new brunch and cocktail menu is below.
