A new lunch option is open on the waterfront side of Embarcadero Center, introducing homestyle Korean food into the far downtown mix. At Stone, chef Terry Yin has based most of the menu on his mother’s cooking, Thrillist reports, reinventing dishes he ate as a kid with his own mix. The space has a view of the Embarcadero ice rink, when the weather’s right. There’s a servicable wine and beer selection to wash down your Korean rib-eye sandwich. Not that this new opening replaces the abruptly gone Chevy’s. Embarcadero workers are still in mourning over that.
