The Yard must be chomping at the bit to show off its new menu by Top Chef’s CJ Jacobson, because the Santa Monica gastropub has moved the November 10th grand re-open party to tomorrow evening. The Yard invites one and all to come for free sips and nibbles as it reinvents itself from a casual spot for grabbing a beer and happy hour eats to a dining destination helmed by a Top Chef star.
Jacobson has redesigned the menu to feature his signature dishes like fish tacos with cumin slaw, crispy beef cheek, babyback ribs with pluot tomatillo, and pulled pork sloppy joe sliders. The chef will also run special menu nights like Tuesdays’ parties that celebrate melted cheese in four unique dishes. Blake Landis, formerly of Bar Chloe, will match Jacobson’s menus with a changing selection of fresh market drinks.
