The Takedown is the brainchild of filmmaker Matt Timms, who held the first Chili Takedown with some friends in 2005. In the years since, it’s grown into a series of cook-offs centered around ingredients from tofu to Jell-O. Now, he’s bringing the competition to the Hub.
