Over in Emeryville, Peet’s Coffee has been in a heated battle with East Coast rival Stone Mountain to buy out Deidrich Coffee, in Southern California, but today Stone Mountain won out. According to the Business Times the Vermonters simply outbid the East Bay company. But Peet’s is still “looking at options,” which basically means they’ll offer more money yet. [SF Business Times]
