The Post reports that Jeffrey Chodorow’s long-vacant Wild Salmon space has finally, finally been taken (at a rumored rent of $750,000 per month year) by none other than Pampano’s Richard Sandoval and his partner, opera legend Plácido Domingo, who will turn it into the first New York location of Zengo, the modern Mexican chain that currently has locations in Denver and D.C. Rumor has it the restaurant will top Dos Caminos’s 300-brand tequila list with 500 varieties. If Zengo goes the way of Chodorow’s various projects in the space, they’re going to need it all to kill the pain.
