Saugus-based mini-chain Kelly’s Roast Beef is looking to open in the former home of Marty’s Liquors in Allston, reports the Allston-Brighton TAB. Aside from its bountiful liquor selection, Marty’s was, of course, home to some of Allston’s best sandwiches, so a sandwich-heavy replacement would be a boon for the neighborhood. Kelly’s Chief Operating Officer Manny Paula tells us that, pending approval, the Allston Kelly’s is slated to open in April, just in time for lobster roll season.
