Longtime food critic Meredith Brody has been cut from the staff of SF Weekly. Her last review will run tomorrow, and her last blog post later today, online food editor John Birdsall told Grub Street this morning. He wouldn’t give any details on the reason behind the split. “I can only confirm that it happened. The company intends to do a national search for a full-time restaurant reviewer and food blogger to replace her. That’s all I can say at this point,” Birdsall told Grub Street. Brody declined to comment.
