Gwyneth Paltrow’s Friends Tell You Where to Eat

Not content to use her GOOP newsletter to show off her roast chicken recipe or her Momofuku ignorance, Gwyneth Paltrow devotes today’s issue to the most memorable meals famous friends like Nora Ephron, Mario Batali, and Ferran Adrià have ever eaten. Food writer Merrill Stubbs singles out Boston’s No. 9 Park as the restaurant whose “sublime” dishes forged a food bond between her and her father, Melia Marden, chef at The Smile, recommends Agnanti Meze in Astoria, Queens for “the best fish I’ve had outside of Greece”, and Mario Batali suggests New York’s Pearl Oyster Bar where his “faves are the fried oysters or the green salad with Fourme d’Ambert, followed by either a lobster roll or the cod sandwich all washed down with a glass of cold Muscadet.” We only wish Gwyneth had solicited recommendations from her dear friend William Joel.
