What to Eat at Pairings, Opening Soon in Park Plaza

Pairings, Bonfire’s replacement in the Park Plaza, will open next Monday and chef Bobby Bean has already released a sample menu. In line with this fall’s major trend, the restaurant will focus on small, sharable New American plates, topping out at $24 &madash; think hickory-smoked gnocchi topped with oxtail, oregano, and ricotta, and lobster corn dogs. Perhaps the most intriguing item, however, is from the breakfast menu: pancake tacos filled with pork hash and a chipotle-berry compote. Too much or not enough?
