Almost two years after announcing that it would open three Boston locations, Italian chain Vapiano has finally found a home for its first, reports the Herald. Vapiano will open in the former home of Benigan’s in the Transportation Building.

Vapiano serves up standard pizzas and pastas at single-digit prices, which seems like a nice fit for the mix of Emerson students, theatergoers, and folks who want to grab a bite before a movie that make up the Theater District’s restaurant patrons. According to the restaurant’s website, it will open in February.

In other news from Turning the Tables, Pressed Sandwiches has been put up for sale due to a drop in profits from cash-strapped consumers, so get your soppressata and provolone sandwiches while you still can.
