Prepare for another Umami assault, as the city’s Japanese-spiked burger chain continues to grow like a crate of Gremlins let loose in The Pacific. Umami Burger has revealed a planned third location, this time on Cahuenga in Space15Twenty, reports Los Angeles’ Digest Blog. In addition to taking over the departing Snack Bar, Umami has been discussing plans to establish a foothold in Santa Monica’s Fred Segal, making Urban Outfitter’s Space15Twenty the second planned city store with its own truffle burgers and malt liquor tempura onion rings. It appears the influx of booziness at Umami’s Los Feliz location has been a positive move, because they plan to do it again here in Hollywood, pushing Eats to prematurely declare it their new favorite drinking spot before going to the Arclight. Doesn’t it have to open first?
