Stephen Starr

Starr Seeking an Executive Chef with Latin Cuisine Experience

First came word that Stephen Starr had signed a lease for the Midtown IV Diner, now Philadelphia magazine reports he has yet another Rittenhouse lease in the works to house a second pizza joint. Are there any places left in Rittenhouse where Starr doesn’t already hold the lease? While we ponder where that mystery location might be - the former Wawa in the Dorchester? The former Mantra in the long-jinxed spot on 18th at Sansom Street? The ground floor of the Lanesborough? The former Brasserie Perrier? Is he going to take over Devon? - we’d also like to ponder what he might do with the Midtown IV. Could this craigslist ad for a new executive chef be any clue?

He did mention he was considering a Mexican concept for the Midtown IV. Then again, this may be something entirely different.
