Pizza.Pasta.Salad’s future home

A new restaurant called Pizza.Pasta.Salad is coming to the intersection of LaBrea and Pico in 2010. We spoke briefly with an owner who tells us this excellent location will be serving New York-style thin crust pizza and other homey Italian eats, with the possible inclusion of live jazz, plus a confirmed outdoor patio for smoking and hanging over beer and wine, which will also have big roles. The planned restaurant inhabits the former space of Anna Maria’s, a 30-year Italian favorite that closed in the late 90’s. While this is the first venture for the PPS crew, they will be using many of Anna Maria’s recipes in their own dishes, which should make legions of Maria’s mourners giddy.
