We knew it was in the offing. The building has been for sale for ages, and the owners of the Mission District’s favorite steakhouse have been pretty public about their desire to retire. Still, it’s heartbreaking that they actually have shut the doors. Mission Mission has a photo of their goodbye letter, transcribed below for your convenience. We ate many a well-cooked and inexpensive steak there, and we hope you did too. Bon Voyage, Moe and Marina.
From the Palace Family Steakhouse:
To all our loyal customers,
We have decided to retire after 40 years of hard work and many steaks.
We want to thank you for ALL your support.
We will miss you, your families, and friends.
Goodbye,
Moe and Marina
