A Look Inside of MidAtlantic with a Closeup of Crab Scrapple

We visited the new University City/West Philly tap room at MidAtlantic yesterday about 45 minutes before it opened for the very first time. Eerily calm chef-owner Daniel Stern was nice enough to rustle up a few dishes from the “Pennsylvania Dutch and traditionally Philly-inspired” menu - including the mysterious crab scrapple - which we’ve also photographed for your viewing pleasure. Want to know what is actually in crab scrapple?

Check out the photo gallery for details on the that, Welsh rarebit and pig wings, plus a look at the CCS Architecture-designed space, which combines modern and rustic elements, floor-to-ceiling windows and mushroom enzyme-cured wood.
