Always ones to indulge the wacky world of Japanese trends, the anime tea party enthusiasts at Royal T are honoring Sanrio’s Hello Kitty, possibly Japan’s biggest wacky trend. Starting this Friday, there will be a major multidimensional art exhibit, special food, and three parties to celebrate Kitty’s 35th birthday. The show will come with its own tea-party menu called The Three Apples Menu, named for the precise weight of one Hello Kitty, if she did exist. Served through November, it’s for adults as much as anyone, but still sports kiddie menu names like “School is Fun Ham & Terrizini.” Basically, there’s a few grilled cheese pockets, a high tea platter, and some sweet breakfast stuff, served through November 15th. An opening party this Saturday will also include a Hello Kitty sushi-making workshop and Kitty-themed cocktails, wth other food-related fun by Sanrio. Find Royal T’s Three Apples menu below.
