If there’s one thing Playboy should know about, it’s tequila, which is why it’s baffling that they’d choose Agave and Dos Caminos to represent New York in their list of the top ten tequila lounges in the country. Back when we took no less an authority than Philip Ward on a tour of West Village tequila joints, he put the margaritas at Dos Caminos and Agave dead last. For that matter, how come Ward’s own bar Mayahuel, or the bar he liked best, Cabrito, didn’t make the list? Oh, well, we take these things like we take our margaritas — with a grain of salt.
