Esquire Shorts SF on ‘Best New’ Picks

Esquire’s Best New Restaurants of 2009 list comes out tomorrow, and San Francisco gets surprisingly light representation. Only Nopalito made the cut, with the quip that “if you put this same food on Limoges china and replace the waiters’ green T-shirts with suits, it couldn’t taste any better.” The only other Bay Area spot to make the list was Bottega, from Michael Chiarello. For a complete copy of the list, we’ll direct you to John Curtas’s Eating Las Vegas. Or to the news stand tomorrow.
