Two things to cluck about today. First, the Feedbag reports that this spring, Hill Country will open a 2,700-square-foot fried-chicken joint at 25th and Broadway. The restaurant will sell two varieties of chicken, says the ’bag: “Both, alas, will be deep-fried rather than pan-fried the way God and Texas intended.” Also, EV Grieve notices that Korean favorite Bon Chon Chicken is coming to the financial district space at 104 John Street that once housed Zen Palate. A call to Bon Chon’s rival, Kyochon, reveals that their K-town store — which was expected to open in June — won’t be up and running anytime soon.
