Restaurateur Marty Grims’ new project, Chew Man Chu, a casual restaurant serving a “fresh interpretation of classic Asian fare” from chef Tyson Wong Ophaso, opens today at 5 p.m. in the Symphony House at Broad and Pine Streets. Grims, who also owns the White Dog, Moshulu and Du Jour, the short-lived prepared foods market that previously occupied the space, is hoping the price point - entrees top out at $19 - will help him tap into the student crowd. Download the full menu, which includes noodles, dumplings, wok dishes, banh mi and classics like Kung Pao chicken, here. Chew Man Chu also has liquor license, all the better to serve mai tais and Singapore slings. If you’re wondering about the name, Grims explained the inspiration for it to us back in August.
