Of course, since this is Bleeding Heart, it’s not just any old bakery bread. It’s a weekly bread co-op that sells the organic loaves at cost (they’re $5 each) and requires pre-ordering. This week’s flavor: polenta asiago roasted garlic bread, in which about a sixth of the weight of each loaf comes from the cheese. To get in on this batch, reserve a loaf (or get more information) by calling the bakery at 773 327 6934 — reservations must be made by Friday; loaves will be available for pickup on Sunday afternoon.
