It’s time to say goodbye to the Cathedral Hill Hotel and with it, Jack Tar Bar & Grill. The Joie de Vivre hotel is shuttering tomorrow to make way for a hospital, and today is Bruce “the Beer Chef” Patton’s last day. The end of the hotel and restaurant won’t mean the end of Patton’s signature beer dinners, though. He plans to keep putting on the events as long as there’s interest and a space to hold them. The last dinner at the hotel sold out on Oct. 23, but Patton will post future events on his website. In the meantime, if you want one more taste of his Jack Tar cooking, you’d better get in there tonight.
