Thanks to the magic of twitter, here’s the first interior shot of Big Star, a.k.a. where you’ll shortly be jostling pretty much everyone else in the city for your 1 a.m. taco-and-whiskey fix. The space is nearly unrecognizable as the home of its former occupant The Pontiac Cafe — open sightlines and sleek wood? Must be a Paul Kahan joint. We do hope they’re planning on cushioning those booths, though, or a fair share of semidrunk rear ends will find themselves getting seriously bruised in the near future. [@EllenMalloy]
