What to Eat at Queen’s Po-Boy Cafe, Pending in Portola

Coming soon to a former motorcycle repair shop near you (if you live in the Portola district): Queen’s Louisiana Po-Boy Cafe. Due to open sometime this month, according to this Yelper, the seriously Cajun joint specializes in po boys (hence the name) but also deals in muffuletta, salad, dessert, and beer. Check out the sandwiches below, and start crossing your fingers when you walk down San Bruno Avenue near Paul Avenue that they’ll open soon. They’ve got an application in for a liquor license, and construction is apparently going at a rapid clip. Looking at public records, it seems the place is owned by a family member of the adjacent contractor, so we’re guessing construction will go somewhat more smoothly than for other new restaurateurs. Oh, and for fans of Hole in the Wall Independent Harley Services, they’ve moved to Redwood City.
