The Half Acre Beer Store ‘Will Be Like Being At The Zoo’

Since a certain portion of the population is basically wetting their pants with excitement over the opening of the Half Acre Beer Company storefront, founder Gabriel Magliardo spills some more details on their official blog. Along with beer sales, the plan is for Half Acre to offer formal brewery tours on Fridays (and eventually Saturdays), but for those who can’t make a rigid tour slot, Magliardo notes that “people can go out to the brewery at any time to see the machine at work. During regular working hours it will be like being at the zoo, watching us work in our native habitat kind of vibe.”

Dashing the secret hopes of many, the store won’t be a bar, and won’t serve food. Instead, Half Acreophiles can pick up growlers of their favorite draft beer (and an occasional on-draft soda), plus six-packs, 22oz bottles, half kegs and sixth kegs. They’re still in line for an October 5 open, though Magliardo warns that the team will be “gearing things up slowly, so some things might not be available right away, but keep your pants on.”
