Sonic Struggles; Dawat Shines

• Much like Devra First last week, Mat Schaffer can’t resist the chance to review Sonic and, like his compatriot, he is not impressed: “The signature Sonic Burger - spongy roll, thin patty, lettuce, tomato, pickle and choice of condiments - is nothing special. The Extra Long Chili Cheese Coney, a hot dog smothered in chili and melted cheese, isn’t worth the traffic and time spent standing in line to get it.” [Herald]

• Robert Nadeau has three stars for Dawat, which “does what all other Indian restaurants do — sometimes better — with newish things besides.” [Phoenix]

• It’s two stars for Pazzo from Devra First. It has promise, but it’s still looking for its footing. [Globe]

• MC Slim JB pops by Mike’s Bánh Mì, where the sandwiches are “delicious, fresh, and generously filled yet light.” [Phoenix]

• Cheap Eats visits Lexington’s Nourish: it’s a good idea, but the food is not so hot. [Globe]
