Studiokitchen Will Be BYOB and in NoLibs

We spoke with chef Shola Olunloyo this morning to gather more details on his upcoming restaurant, Studiokitchen, which he announced via his blog last week. While Olunloyo was short on details for now, he did tell us the exact location and confirms that Piazza at Schmidt’s/Liberties Walk overlord Bart Blatstein is not, in fact, a partner, as was rumored.

The 30-seat space will be at 712 N. Second Street, currently an empty storefront, a few doors down from the recently opened Kong. A New York-based architect will design the space, which Olunloyo says will have a contemporary feel - a “modern kitchen that will look like a workshop.” There will be no liquor license. Dinner will be prix fixe only with a constantly changing menu, but the price has not been set yet. He’s shooting for a November opening.
