• The gimmick for Phil Vettel’s double review this week: Market and MarketHouse have similar names! But they’re very different! In short: Market is a sports bar doing awesome pizzas and burgers, and MarketHouse is a hotel restaurant doing awesome seasonal fare. [Tribune]

• The scene at Joy Yee Noodle Plus is as colorful and fun as the original, notes Heather Shouse, but the food’s not quite up to par: kebabs are weak, the Vietnamese offerings lack flavor, “creative” menu items are meh. Frozen yogurt’s good, though. [TOC]

• The brunch on offer at Jam is “pitch-perfect,” says Michael Nagrant, who echoes other critics’ sentiment that Jerry Suqi is the first chef in long memory to give breakfast foods the detail-oriented treatment that’s long been given to dinner.
