Banq will transition into Ginger Park, a reasonably priced Chinese spot helmed by acclaimed New York chef Patricia Yeo, formerly of the now-shuttered pre-Graydon Carter Monkey Bar and the shuttered Sapa. Dishing notes that the concept, Chinese plates meant for sharing, sounds an awful lot like that of the very nearby Myers + Chang, and we have to agree. Between the dueling Asian small plates spots and the possible stuzzi showdown (not to even mention Toro), the South End is becoming ground zero for Boston’s small plates revolution. Ginger Park is expected to launch by October, but in the meantime, Banq will remain open.
