There’s an in-depth article in today’s Inky about former Eagles coach Dick Vermeil’s new venture - a boutique winery. As the article mentions, there are several sports figures who have put their names on bottles - Mike Schmidt, for example - but Vermeil is apparently involved in the nitty-gritty of the winemaking process. Will you be able to buy any of Vermeil’s wine in Pennsylvania’s state stores? The article says Vermeil has been “in negotiations” with the PLCB. Good luck with that, coach.
