Poleng Lounge re-introduced lunch and daytime tea service today, and to get folks in the door they’re giving away one lunch entree from the new street-food-inspired menu free to the first 50 diners every day for a week. The gratis teriyaki chicken ran out just after noon today, owner Desi Danganan told us on the phone, but he expects that with the publicity garnered by the promotion, tomorrow’s imperial curry rice will go faster than that. “We had people lining up at 10:30 a.m. today,” he said, so you can expect a crowd tomorrow. Even if you don’t get one of this week’s free lunches, however, nothing on the new menu exceeds $8, so it’s not like you’re going to go broke here.
