Brookline will soon have new Thai and sushi restaurants, reports the Brookline TAB. The oddly-named M.J. Ready will open in the recently-vacated Caffe La Scala space in the arcade and serve mostly Thai food along with espresso and a few Italian dishes. We’d love to see a Boston version of the “spaghetti carbonara” served at New York Thai restaurant Kurve — bacon, cream, and a ton of Thai chili. Meanwhile, over on Kendall Street, catering company Sea to You will soon begin offering takeout sushi.
