Former New York Times critic and current Gourmet editor Ruth Reichl will be in town October 26, hosting an event at South Street restaurant Supper as part of the First Person Arts Festival. Supper chef-owner Mitch Prensky will create a four-course menu based on Reichl’s upcoming update of the classic Gourmet cookbook. Tickets are $125 for the general public, $100 for First Person Arts members; the price includes dinner, wine pairings, tax and gratuity. Guests will have a chance to schmooze with Reichl before the sit-down dinner and she’ll also sign books. There will also be participating artists and documentarians seated at each table, talking to guests about the Festival. Tickets must be purchased online; if you’re interested, get on it! There are currently only 32 seats left.
