Where does Andrew Zimmern, host of Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods and eater of oh-so many animal parts, like to grub in The City of Angels? The Minnesota-resident tells The L.A. Times through his new book, The Bizarre Truth, that he’s a frequent visitor to our city and Koreatown is stop numero uno for international weirdness, and possibly the only place outside of Korea that serves live octopus. His other choices seem more practical by comparison, mentioning Lucques for romantic evenings with his wife (he’s a big Goin fan), Madeo for pasta, and Cut to satisfy his kiddies’ Kobe burger habit and Zimmern’s own for bone marrow. Naturally he loves Spago and, like any tourist, enjoys watching the famous waltz in and out of Matsuhisa. Next time you’re out here, Andrew, call us and we’ll show you where our balut is hiding.
