What to Eat at CODA, Opening Today

In an impressive display of turnaournd speed, CODA opens today less than a month after the old Levende Lounge closed to the relief of fed-up neighbors. The new place promises a soundtrack of live jazz, and seems to cater to a more subdued, upscale patronage that neighbors can be relatively sure won’t spill out into the street at 2 a.m. yelling and urinating. Styled as a supperclub, they’ll serve dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. nightly (check out the menu below), then have a show at 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends. Un-hip as we are to the local jazz scene, we’re going to go ahead and recommend Thursday’s show because we like the artist’s name: Snake Plissken Quintet.
