We have to hand it to our former employer: Philadelphia Weekly’s recent 50 Must-Eats cover story was impressive - we found ourselves nodding in agreement rather than staring with disbelief at the picks. The list, which was compiled by cook-turned-music editor Brian McManus and culinary instructor and food writer Tim McGinnis, along with restaurant critic Adam Erace, has inspired a contest and now, a punk rock dinner hosted by McManus and McGinnis, who have formed a joint culinary venture called Spinal Tapas.
The duo will prepare a nine course tasting meal inspired by the Must Eats list, which will be paired with Yards brews, at the Philly Kitchen Share on October 24 at 7 p.m. The dinner is $90 all-inclusive and limited to 16 guests who will be the first to discover whether Fiorella’s sausages on a Parc baguette is the best idea ever or a case of two rights making a wrong (we’re betting on the former). Check out the menu below; tickets can be purchased online through Philly Kitchen Share’s web site.
