As if you needed reminding, Oakland’s Eat Real Festival goes down this weekend. The three-day jam started out as a street food ho-down, but plans have become more and more elaborate- &mdashl; including performances, a beer tent, a butchery contest, a marketplace, and, um, “Community Canning and Forage Exchange.” It may not be the food equivalent to Outside Lands, but that’s the comparison we keep coming back to, seeing as how they’re on at the same time.
