In addition to the preview of Fall restaurants in this week’s issue of New York, there’s a look at nine new clubs in the meatpacking district and a survey of new nightspots elsewhere. Two projects you haven’t heard about yet: Bowlmor Lanes is replacing its upstairs club, Pressure, with a carnival-themed venue housing a dunk tank, boardwalk games, clowns on stilts, and the like. To eat: candy apples and pulled-pork sliders. To drink: alcoholic snow cones and cotton-candy martinis. And some news on the heretofore-in-limbo Bar Martignetti space: Anthony Martignetti and James Willis will reopen it as Brinkley’s, a pub broadcasting rugby games and serving English bar food.
