BLVD 16’s Chef Simon Dolinky is taking his fresh produce obsession to a poolside barbecue every Saturday at The Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar in Westwood. Calling it Market-to-Grill, Dolinky will sizzle up naturally-raised Wagyu and Kobe-style ribs, plus sustainable seafood and organic fruit for hotel guests and visitors, adding the herbs and veggies he grows hydroponically on the property’s rooftop into salads, pastas, and sudden surprises. The restaurant has a seasonal cocktail menu similarly composed of Dolinky’s hand-raised herbs that will sate thirst at these Saturday parties, which will be thrown through fall. Fifteen dollars buys you entry to the buffet if you’re not staying in the hotel, while it’s only ten if you can pretend or prove you are. Even better, RSVP at 310-474-7765 before Fridays and you just might walk-in for free with a ten dollar credit towards food. Every Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at 10740 Wilshire in Westwood, weather permitting. Check out a sample menu:
